Some recent rumors have claimed that the 20H1 main build number could be finalized as early as December, 2019. So it is a fairly wide release date target. The "March" versions have sometimes not been declared public until May, to allow more time for testing. (unless they make a change to the previously announced scheduling for Windows 10). The announced Windows 10 Feature Update schedule (when the Version number changes) is around March and September of each year. The version currently being tested is called 20H1. However, if you want to go back to public build, then you will have to do a clean install or just wait until an Insider Not to worry, your PC is still licensed as it always was. The latest Insider edition is 19023 which was released a couple of days ago. Always good to have good backup since it is Beta and we are testing for bugs, etc. It is never a good idea to run an Beta release of W10 on a production PC. You have to request to join the Insider testing group. Not sure how long you been running an Insider edition. You show as a member of this site for a long time. Future Insider releases will advance the expiry date. All Insider editions are released as an Evaluation Edition with an expiry date.

Your PC should still be fully activated as a W10 Pro. You are now running an Insider edition of W10.

It seems Microsoft stuffed up with allowing the availability of this update! What can be done to fix this WITHOUT doing a full clean install? How can it go from a full licensed version to an evaluation version which will now expire? I run winver and it tells me that it will expire 08:39.Īll I did was run the update as normal when I saw the notification and now all my computer has the same thing.
